First off, it turned a new month, February!
But before that happened, brother & I had a FUN day at a new dog park! There was an aussie meetup AND a sibe meetup in the SAME day, and the SAME park, so we got to go to BOTH!
Then the next day, mom & sister went to Folsom Lake to play fetch. The day after that though, sister leg was hurting again, a lot. It was hurting her in January too after mom & dad got back from Seattle. Mom hoped she just pulled a muscle playing fetch with the pet sitter, but after it happened again mom wanted to be sure she was okay.
Then on Monday mom thought she saw a cloudy spot in Brock's eye! So on Thursday mom took brother AND sister to the doctor to be checked out. Turned out Brock's eyes were totally normal and mom was just being paranoid! (phew!) And Alki checked out pretty okay too, she doesnt need surgery or anything. The doctor gave her some anti inflammatories and said to take it easy on the running for a couple weeks. And if it happens again mom said she will get "x" rays. I dont know what that means but it doesnt sound fun.
Mom was pretty excited though because she says sister did REALLY WELL at the doctor. She was a little scared at first but calmed right down. Mom was SO proud of her--and so am I!! On the 27th mom's friend is coming over to meet Alki and help mom help sister to feel less scared. Pretty neat!
Before the day at the vet though, mom & Brock had an agility lesson. Mom says Brock did really well and they will finally start classes in April. Sounds fun to me!!
On Saturday mom, dad and me drove to San Francisco!! We went to a REALLY COOL dog park on the water, and I met four other sibes!! and got to play in the water & mud, and run for acres and acres! It was sooooo fun! THEN after that we went to this big building with a bunch of people and other dogs to watch a movie. There were lots of free treats, plus mom bought me a bully stick (YUM), and I got a free massage! (Mom says she is jealous!) The movie we watched was called "Mine." I honestly dont remember much cause I was chewing on my bully stick and then fell asleep, but mom & dad liked it a lot. It was about the Katrina pets and 4 dogs' journeys back to their owners. I am told that it will be on tv on the 16th, so CHECK IT OUT!
Then on Sunday mom took Brock and me to the dog park which was lots of fun as usual! And after than she took Alki to Discovery Park.
Then, today, mom found out there were TWO NEW KITTENS living in our backyard!!! She was able to catch one this morning, and then rented a trap this evening and managed to catch the other kitten AND the mamma cat (the same one from before, that got away before she was fixed) in the SAME trap! (I told mom I could catch them for her, but she didnt want my help for some reason!?) Mom says she hopes to get them all fixed soon so that no more homeless kitties can be born!!!
Now, for PHOTOS.
The Aussie-Sibe Meetup!:
I was the odd man out! actually there were 3 other reds but mom didnt get many photos of the other sibes! we will be meeting up again next month so hopefully she will get photos then!!
