Introduction

RUFF!

Iggy here, "the new guy". I have never written a blog before, but wanted to give this a shot. Especially since no one has bothered to give me a proper introduction. I guess if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself, eh?

Alright well, where to start? I grew up far from where I live now, with a family in Arizona. I lived there for 2 yrs but didnt like them much- way too boring, so I flew the coop in search of more adventure. But pretty soon I found myself in the pound. Luckily they say, my old family microchipped me, so the people who picked me up gave them a call but apparently they didnt want me back. Psh, good, cause I sure did not want to go back to snooze-ville. So, these new people transfered me to some people called New Hope Cattle Dog Rescue, and I landed myself in a home with a great lady. She said I wasnt allowed inside cause I would "mark" (well maybe you should've given me a chance lady- I dont DO that.) but she set me up with a pretty sweet private kennel outside. She was cool, we played fetch for hours a day, and she took me places sometimes, but she knew I couldnt stay with her forever. She told me she wanted me to have a "real" home.

Then 7 months later we drove to the airport. What an adventure! They said I was going to my "forever home", in a place called Seattle. Then I was put in a crate and loaded on a PLANE!! It was pretty boring and I was stuck there alllll day (mom told me later that the plane was DELAYED. what!? didnt they know *I* was on board!?!) but then I met my new mom! And, well, the rest is history as they say.

Ive been here almost 6 months now and its pretty sweet. I loooooove my new brother Brock, he is so much fun to play with. Royal is a lot of fun too, but Im constantly having to keep him in line. Huff. He really keeps me on my toes. But he really knows how to have fun. We are always together at the dog park, jumping fences, digging holes, playing in puddles, swimming in the water.. Hes great fun. Alki is the top dog around here, so I usually just avoid her. She can push me around for sure.. Mom says its just because I growl too much and that upsets her. Eh, we will just agree to disagree.

My new mom & dad are awesome too. I love to snuggle and be loved, and they are very experienced petters. We go to the dog park all the time, I get to go for walks all the time, and to NEW places all the time- that is the BEST. Id much rather go walk & explore than play fetch, but I do love my toys. Mom says shes glad that all our dog toys are finally getting use. BOL I get to stay indoors with my new family, sleep on the bed & couch, chew on bones & rawhides, and! Mom also gives me tooooons of treats, but does make me work for them, but thats what I love best!! I have learned SOOOO many new things since Ive come here- down, spin, roll over, sit pretty, heel, bed, shake, wait, get it, find it, come, attention, jump, touch, drop, and more! Im also learning flyball, and mom says we will even do agility some day. I even got to herd sheep once!!! Mom said she needs to find a cattle farm if Im to try herding again. Whatever lady! I just love to keep busy.

Well, I hope you all enjoyed reading my riveting life story. I will leave you with some photos of my new life adventures!!!

Am I cute or what?

I'm glad you found the info about Evanger's, and glad none of you beasts got sick from it!
Very nice blog banner, by the way! Mom just remembered that she needs to give mine a facelift, it's OLD.

Hay Iggy we are so happy to meet you. We are three cattle dogs too. Of course Me, Gus have to keep the reds in line. They are deaf and need a lot of supervision..
We love going to the lake and herding sheep although sheep school is out for the summer..
You need to stop over and meet Norwood, one silly Blueman and Velcro she herds sheep in California...
Stop by real soon..
